The following data is derived from the City’s government-wide Statement of Activities in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The government-wide financial statements are reported using the economic resources measurement focus and the accrual basis of accounting. Under the accrual basis of accounting, revenues are recognized when earned and expenses recognized at the time the liability is incurred.
The per capita figures are based on the City’s September 30, 2017, population of 279,100 provided by the North Central Texas Council of Governments and the City of Plano.
